Billa2 had a phenomenal opening all over TN, but due to negative reviews, it couldnt sustain the hype and lost to Naan EE in 2 nd week. May be Nanban have overtaken Dasavatharam. Nanban collected more than Billa2 thats sure. Nanban would have made around 100 crores and not more than that. But I am sure that Billa2 and Nanban didnt make so much collections as mentioned here. This ranking was till the end of year 2011. The top 5 grossing films from Reliable sources are Dasavatharam collections was fake and it total collection was around 100 -110 crores. Tamil Film Update Kannan Clearly tweeted that Sivaji the Boss is the second all time grossing tamil Film of all time.It made more than 140 crores at the box office. MASS means Superstar (4 out of his last 5 movies in da list- the only 1 missed out is BABA dat too highest grosser in 2002, another 1 is Kuseelan which is NOT his movie after all ) Dhanush, Simbhu, Jiiva, Vishal, Arya, Jayam Ravi, Karthi way to go. And for Monica - Vijay is the only one apart from Superstar that is labelled "SAFE BET" by Media and Producers for his Box Office returns.
so confirm Varnam Ayiram and Adhavan not in the list and for Singham im not so sure but it collected less than Ayan. this list is correct one Ayan was Suriya's highest grosser to date and Ayan was Blockbuster for 2009 and the movie collected $ 8 000 000.
